DELTA, BC (June 7, 2007) Help new businesses get started. Inspire visitors to enjoy the beaches, paths, country roads and village life of Delta. Help tourists discover the best that the rest of the province has to offer. Apply experience or develop new skills in personal customer service.
These are the kinds of talents needed and experiences offered to volunteers of all ages and backgrounds at the Delta Chamber of Commerce and Tourism BC Visitor Centre. Join a team of people who have been enjoying the variety and opportunities of volunteering a few hours every week.
People with experience to offer, or skills to learn, can find out more about how they can contribute to the Delta community as a valued volunteer in tourism and business development.
On Wednesday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Delta Chamber of Commerce is holding an Open House for Volunteers, at 6201-60th Avenue (a house just off River Road or Hwy. 17 one block north of Hwy. 99). Snacks and refreshments served.
Drop in and discover the rewards of hosting and helping visitors and new business owners.
